Gary specializes in shoes and custom orthotics for those with problems walking (forty years of rheumatoid arthritis damage to feet and ankles in my case). He saw me ten years ago, sold me the perfect shoes and custom orthotics, and I am still walking thanks to Gary. Even my podiatrist is impressed with his work.

I have bought 3 pairs of shoes here. Great shoes. Very helpful and knowledgeable! I will be back for more.

Incredibly arrogant, condescending owner. I went in to purchase insoles and a pair of shoes. He would not let me talk. His opinions were more important and he knows more than any foot doctor (his word); he didn't want to hear tree anything I had to say and repeatedly would not let me finish a sentence. I asked him to please let me finish my sentence. He said he knows what I am going to say and "your time is valuable and mine is twice as valuable." I thanked him for his time and had to walk out. Worst retail experience of my life.

The owner of this store is an absolutely repulsive man. Very friendly at first until he outright screamed at my mother for "wasting his time" because she chose not to buy a $300 pair of shoes as they were very uncomfortable. He then proceeded to charge her $50 for his "service fee", and let her leave his store crying. I couldn't make this up if I tried. What I fail to understand is how this man has managed to stay in business as long as he has if he speaks to women in that manner, never the less a customer. Absolutely abhorrent, I hope people come to their senses and take their business elsewhere.

Gary, at Footworks, is a rare find. He combines product knowledge, personality, and excellent service.

I went to find a couple of pairs of Aldens, and he walked me through the fit process, talked about the various shoe last options, and made me feel very comfortable that the shoes we were ordering were going to be the right fit for my foot. He was dead on. Ordered them on Monday, got a call Thursday, that they were in, and they fit like they were custom made for my feet.

Footworks will be my go-to source for shoes, maintenance, and repairs.

Gary Lavoie of Footworks is just too busy to fix shoes - that is what he told me today; so you may want to go somewhere else.

These have to be the rudest people I have ever met. They did a completely unprofessional repair on a new pair of $150.00 shoes. When I expressed my disappointment and asked why they didn't call me to let me know the repair wasn't going as they had anticipated he became angry. After he yelled at me for a minute or so, during that time he said I was a terrible person and told me to lose his address and then he actually threw my receipt at me. Please save yourself from disappointment in workmanship and the downright scary customer service and take your shoes to a qualified cobbler.

Went to his store and bought one pair of shoes and wanted a second pair of dressier shoes. I didn't have the money for the second pair of shoes and wasn't sure wether I wanted a boot or a shoe. So I told him I would wait on the second pair. He ordered the boots anyway and then was angry when we didn't take them. Now he won't sell anything to us. My recommendation is that if you need orthopedic or diabetic shoes in a hurry you can go to him in a pinch, but otherwise go somewhere else. There are other places that won't try to pressure you. Doctors - I wouldn't recommend him, especially to people who have a limited income.
