CareXpress Urgent Care On Georgia

I was treated very well. Had to wait about an hour but Lobby was full. Everyone from the reception area to treatment were professional and kind.

RX called in 18 hours AFTER my Sunday appt and it was only AFTER I CALLED TO ASK WTHECK. Terrible almost hostile person took took me back AND saw me, BUT NONE OF THAT REALLY MATTERS XCEPT THE FACT I WENT ON WEEKEND FOR IMMEDIATE CARE AND THE RX WAS OVER 18 HOURS IN GETTING SENT IN AND IT WAS ONLY AFTER I CALLED TO 'REMIND' THEM. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE PLACE AND I'M A 20 YEAR FMC PATIENT WITH ONE OF THEIR PRIMARY CARES.

So I have a major complaint or review about Care Express. This is for the one on Georgia Street but I have been to the one on Coulter as well and had the same experience. I got there at around 11:45 this morning and waited and till about 12:30 and decided to get on their text list to let me know when it was my turn and decided to go get lunch and head back to the house to try to feed the baby. As soon as I got home they texted me that I was up in 15 minutes and it had the option to ask for more time so I extended it by 10 minutes so that I could at least eat and head back. Two minutes after I sent the text to extend it I got another text saying that they were ready for me and to check in at the counter. So I called and the lady "fixed" it. I got a text at 1:00 saying I was next and have 13 minutes to wait so I got back at 1:20 and I was thinking I would be the next one to be called back but basically all they did was put me back on the list like a brand-new walk in, so I was there until 2:35 and decided to just leave and get refunded. The lady at the counter asked if I wanted to come back later and I said "absolutely not I would rather be at home in bed resting which is what I should have been doing this whole time because this was a big waste of time". I will be setting up a primary care physician here forward because I will never go to another care express or care now or care today ever again.

If I could give them a zero I would!!! If you are on any maintenance medication and run out they would rather risk your health with the bad symptoms that can come with abruptly stopping than give a refill until you can make it in for an appointment! They want you to make an unnecessary appointment just to get your money! I would let them treat my dog but they should treat Obama!!!!

I love this place i have been seen here for everything, they even do xrays, patricia turnbow is an excellent fnp!

I gave them a one star because I had to. Understaffed, unprofessional and you dang sure don't want them to have your private information

I took my Mother in for a complete physical. There wasn't really a wait, but she stayed back there for over two hours. Next thing I know the doctor is telling me to rush her to the ER because her body is not getting any, or enough insulin. The doctor informed us, that her "fattytoids" we're taking over her entire body and that she could slip into a coma at a moments notice. So, we paid the co-pay, never got any paperwork and were told that her prescriptions would be sent to CVS. Next, we jumped in the car and went straight to the ER. They did a battery of tests on her, didn't find a single thing out of the ordinary wrong with her. All of the nurses and doctors have never heard of the term "fattytoids" and said that was their new word for the day. Don't get me wrong I am glad that my Mother is okay, but that was totally unnecessary, and was quite ridiculous. So after all of that we drove to CVS to pick up the prescriptions, guess what? They hadn't even called them into any CVS in Amarillo. I do not recommend this place to anyone. The doctor there needs to go back to medical school to learn more before practicing medicine, or choose a new career path

If I could give this a 0, I would. Unfortunately the lowest I can give is 1 star. If you're looking for your confidentiality to be broken, this is the place to go. But if you would like for your health issues to stay private (as they should according to HIPAA laws and regulations), go somewhere else. Having worked in the medical insurance field and now working towards a nursing degree, I was absolutely enraged to find out that my medical conditions had been discussed with others that were of no concern to my care. HIPAA laws are set in place for a reason and they are not to be taken lightly. So I would recommend doing extensive research on choosing a medical office to receive the quality and confidential care everyone deserves.

This is the only clinic my family will go to since they opened up. The staff is always extremely professional and friendly. Patricia Turnbow has got to be one of the best Urgent Care doctors we've ever been to! They may not always be able to get you in the instant you walk in, but I have never had to wait 2 hours to get in to see anyone there. I can't get my husband to go to the doctor, but I can get him to go here. Great place, with great people.

I love this place. They are always super nice and professional. Patty is fantastic. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Clean, friendly staff. It is not as bad as the first review. The Saturday we went they were very busy and maybe understaffed but professional. I would use this Clinit again.

this is the worst place in amarillo tx DO NOT use this facility. the people there do not know what they are doing they will make you wait over 2 hours even though you are the only one there. stay away do not use! patricia turnbow is a horror she does not no anything i dont know how she got any kind of a degree once again stay away from this place or you will be sorry you have been warned!
