Ultrasound
If you have a ruptured saline implant, the implant will visibly deflate or get smaller. However, if you have a ruptured silicone implant, it will usually maintain its size and shape and it will not be obvious to you that it is ruptured. This is known as a “silent rupture.” That’s why it is recommended to monitor your silicone implants with an MRI or ultrasound 5-6 years after your surgery and every 2-3 years after that to check for rupture. You do not need to monitor saline implants for rupture.
MRI
If a silicone breast implant ruptures over time, it may not lead to any noticeable change in the size or shape of the breast but it may be picked up on an MRI.

General Surgery
Dr. Florin obtained her undergraduate degree from Duke University where she was on the Dean’s List and accepted into Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society for her scholastic achievement. She then obtained her Medical Degree from Columbia University, where she was accepted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society. She continued at Columbia University Medical Center/New York-Presbyterian for her internship in general surgery and residency in Maxillofacial Surgery, where she served as Chief Resident. During her surgical training, she excelled as both a surgeon and a leader.
Ear Surgery
Any surgery that Dr. Sadati performs is typically done behind the ear itself, which eliminates any visible clue that a patient’s ear has been contoured. The entire procedure normally takes about an hour and the patient leaves the office with a small dressing applied that can be removed in a few days. Once the ear surgery is completed the patient can enjoy the results for the rest of their lives.
Otolaryngology
Along with being a board certified facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon and an otolaryngology/head and neck surgeon, Dr. Sadati is an ENT Specialist. An ear, nose and throat specialist (ENT), is a physician who is trained in the medical and surgical treatment of the ears, nose, throat, and related structures of the head and neck. With his extensive training and skill, Dr. Sadati can provide patients with procedures that can improve both the appearance and function of the nose.
