Endometriosis
Endometriosis is when the lining of the uterus grows elsewhere in the body. This may cause severe pain and often causes infertility. If your condition is more severe your physician may want to do a laparoscopy in order to treat endometriosis.
Pelvic Pain
A hysterectomy is used treat fibroids, endometriosis, pelvis support problems, uterine bleeding, cancer, and chronic pelvic pain. There are several ways in which a hysterectomy is performed.

Ultrasound
Gynecologic ultrasounds are useful diagnosing patients. An ultrasound is a way to view the pelvis and reproductive organs; which cannot be seen during a normal examination.

Hysterectomy
A hysterectomy is the surgical removal of part or the entire uterus. A partial hysterectomy is a procedure in which the upper part of the uterus is removed but the cervix is left. A total hysterectomy is a procedure in which the entire uterus and cervix is removed. Finally, a radical hysterectomy is a procedure in which the entire uterus and support structure around the uterus are removed.
Endometrial Ablation
This procedure is outpatient and is done in an office like setting without any cutting into the body and is done with local anesthesia. Thermachoice is a type of endometrial ablation that uses heat to treat the endometrium. This is achieved by inserting a silicone balloon like device through the vagina, which is heated to treat the lining of the uterus.
Laparoscopy
Laparoscopy is used in diagnosing many problems. In this procedure a small incision is made in the abdomen and a laparoscope is inserted to view the uterus, fibroids, ovarian cysts, and ectopic pregnancies.

Lesions
A LEEP is a procedure that is used to treat cervical dysplasia. The procedure involves the use of electrically heated wire loops that are used to remove cervical lesions, and abnormal cells from the cervix. Abnormal cells are taken off in order for new cells to grow.
