The Irondale Fire Department is responsible for fire suppression, rescue and prevention operations. The department offers emergency medical and hazardous material mitigation services. It is governed by the City of Irondale in Alabama. The Irondale Fire Department has a staff of more than 42 full-time firefighters. The department maintains a fleet of extrication equipment, pumpers, command cars, and aerial ladder and service trucks. The department also responds to natural disasters and severe weather conditions. It operates several fire stations.
