City Cellar Wine Bar & Grill

This place is awesome.. service was outstanding.food was outrageously delish!!!!!! I have told everyone who will listen about it. My daughter took me here for brunch and i loved it, the place is huge and is reminiscent of something one would see in a Bette Davis movie..so stylish in a 1930's way. They also have private party rooms..really really awesome! the Hostess and our waiter were fantastic and sooooo polite! a must go!!!!! go..run.. just go!My daughters Iphone was too full to take any pics..Iphone certainly r over rated..lol..but this place..LOVED IT. CITY CELLAR ROCKS!!!!

what you are looking for skip the

city cellar.

One word RUDE. If you don't own a fur coat skip this place. If you are under thirty skip this place. If you like being treated well while dining out skip this place. Everyone was rude to us from the bartenders to the hostess to the waiter. We all looked nicely dressed (no jeans and tee-shirts) but apparently this is not good enough for city cellar. To start we waited an hour and a half (a half hour over what the girl told us) for a table. I'm also pretty sure they gave our table away to "regular" customers who walked through the door and sat right down. We tried to order a drink at the bar and couldn’t. All three bartenders ignored our looks and waves for about twenty minutes, until we gave up. At dinner the waiter threw my friends I.D. in his face when he politely offered it. So I guess this place is above the law. He said something like “we don’t do that here”. The funny part about all this is the food isn’t even THAT GOOD! It is way over priced. We had the pizza and gnocchi. They were just OK. If you want great Italian food without the attitude go to Vincent’s Clam Bar. This place is just another example of a Long Island establishment trying to create a false sense of high class “Manhattan style” dinning. At this rate it will be out of business VERY VERY soon.
