Woodley Cafe

As many others my boyfriend and I were tricked by the lovely outside seating and good prices. Our first clue that something was seriously wrong was when the table next to us told us to order as fast as possible. When we asked why they told us of their monumental wait for Bloody Marys. As we waited for our water (over 15mins) we noticed that no one was inside. Finally the nice table, next to us, ordered OUR drinks. When our waiter arrived she took our order promptly, and returned with our order over 30 mins later. As we started to eat our meal my boyfriend thought his waffle tasted funny. On further inspection he found nuts inside. This would be great if he was not allergic to them. At that very moment I found jalapeños in my pancakes. I went to the manager to tell him of the mistake (thinking that this would solve the problem). OOO how I was wrong!!!!! Instead of apologizing, the manager went ballistic!!! Running over to our table ripping into our food and demanding that we were wrong. When I told him I was not paying for food that was going to make us sick he kicked us out. As we were leaving he yells across the restaurant “ I knew the moment you came in here you weren’t going to pay!!” I really don’t know what that meant I can only assume it was a dig at my boyfriend because he is black. Trying to calm a situation down my boyfriend goes to the manager, the manager again exploded. This time threatening to beat him up. Once I heard this I pulled my boyfriend out of the restaurant and started walking down the street. THE MANAGER FOLLOWED US down the street. Screaming about calling the police and I quote “I am from Afghanistan I will f*ck you up!” This crazy lunatic followed us to our car. The only way we could get away from the guy was to drive away. This was the WORST RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE!!!!!!
