Walkertown Family Pharmacy

I have never intended to "bash" any business.... It is on them how they run their business. It is on me if I want to help support that business. (This business feels like Bad publicity is good publicity) When I see (and many more people will see it the same way) this sign, I read "Hey you are fat, come buy these diet magic pills and get skinny"! This sign shows that these diet pills are a quick fix. Diet pills are not a quick fix. As soon as you stop taking these pills you will gain your weight back plus more. Not to mention what it is doing to our self image. It is hard enough going through life with the self images we have of ourselves. This sign just confirms our doubts. We MUST not let those self doubts win. Can you imagine how much pressure young girls (and boys) are under now days. I called the pharmacy last night before my REFIT class to ask them if they had thought of the message that they are sending. I left a message. He called me back this morning and our conversation went like this....
Mgr. of store: Tell me Vicki where do you go shop at? I told him all over. He said to name a store. I said CVS. He said there you go.... They sell abortion pills. I told him, they might but they do not advertise it. He then said they sell beer. Once again I said that they might, but they do not advertise it. I asked him if he knew what this message is doing to women of all ages and the self images we have? His response, Who said women? It goes for men to! I then asked him that he is ok with men and women to see this and think it is ok? He then started yelling at me that yes it is ok and that I was wrong and started screaming at me. I couldn't get a word in and just told him that his way of believing and running his business, that I would NEVER step foot in is business.
As a REFIT instructor, and as a MOM, I am always telling everyone that they are Enough, they are Worthy, they are God's Masterpiece. I do not want anyone to drive by and see this and believe otherwise.

WTFP does everything possible to treat you like family. When you have several scripts to refill every month, things can be confusing. The staff here goes out of their way to watch prices, and to make sure there aren't any problems when a new script is added.
