Wish I could give zeros. Drive the extra distance to go to a different hospital. You’ll spend money you don’t have and your pet stands a better chance somewhere else.

Cruelty to both pet and owner!!!!!!!

Recently I was faced with the emergency situation of my daughters' beloved cat being so seriously ill that waiting until the following morning left me restless and anxious. So when Saturday morning came I was out the door and to the vet.
Upon my arrival, I instructed them that I wanted the cat to be given intravenous fluids (an obvious first choice by nearly every vet I have gone to!) but did it happen NNnnoooo, but they did inform me that a blood workup would be necessary for further diagnosis to help them treat her. I had also stated that this beloved feline looked extremely pale in and around her gums and eyes, which would later become part of the prognosis. Regardless, upon a return call with the blood analysis back I was still given the same news I knew, "she's one sick kitty" but with the treatment "we've started"and some good care she could be just fine---------BULL_ _ _ _ ! After force feeding and forced fluids, I was left watching this animal hang on for only one reason, the love of her keeper, my daughter. Eden was put to sleep the following Monday morning by my family vet, who has the kindest heart and truly understands that no one wants their pet to suffer.

Dont go here

I would be very careful about using this facility. I personally would drive over to Portland before I ever bring my animals to this establishment again.

While I had my cat there, I witnessed the vets telling these girls that there was no hope for their dog other than some ridiculous expensive operation. since the girls could not afford the operation, the hospital put the dog down. Come to find out, that there was another procedure that could have saved this dog's life. We found out about the procedure from another veterinarian. I'm not going to go into more details as I do not want to identify the other vet.

I was also told that they had enough blood to do a transfusion for my sick cat. When I got there, they only had 1 pint of real blood and the other was going to be synthetic blood. My cat's internist stated that synthetic blood is the last thing my cat needed. I would have paid about $1200 for that transfusion and it would have been a waste of time. It was while I was waiting for this "transfusion" that I saw them put this poor dog down. All they want is $$$$$$$$.

I highly recommend Emergency Vet Service on Fourth Plain instead.

After reading all the reviews I'm glad I walk out and drove my dog to Portland.

I brought my dog in to be euthanized, it was all I could afford. It was late at night, there was only 1 other person there w their pet. First off, I asked about a sedative before the actual euthanasia, they looked at me like I was speaking another language. A sedative before euthanasia is common pracTice and included as part of the service in ALL other places I checked. So that cost an extra $70 (for a mild sedative). Then, I was taken to a "room", roughly 5' x7', no window, no sink, no tissue, no chairs, no couch, nothing but a rug on the floor and about 20 degrees hotter than I could bear. Then I was told they would be right back w my dog in a couple minutes while the inserted the iv. I was not allowed to be present. 15, 20 minutes in the tiny hot room, and I can hear my dog YELPING in the next room. THEN, she's brought in, I'm told take my time, to let them know when I'm ready. I get 5 minutes and in walks the vet w the injection. I was angry that my time was interrupted, and told her I wasn't ready. Once again, alone w my dog, and the vet comes AGAIN after 5 minutes. Mind u, I'm the only one in the building at this point. I have questions for the vet tho, such as, where do the dogs go for cremation, how long does it take, and how is it handled? The vet didn't know any of these answers, either did any other staff on hand. Paperwork claimed the process takes 007-12 days. My "dog" was returned in 3 days. How is that possible? I don't like having ZERO TRUST for the place that puts my dog to rest. I don't even know if the ashes ARE my dog's. Absolutely worst experience of my LIFE. IF ur on a budget, save a little more to go somewhere actually ran by humans, not robots running the place. It made my last moment w my dog, whom I ADORED for 14 years, feel like a betrayal to her on my part. Go ANYWHERE else.

DO NOT use them for private cremations they charge 120 and you get a pile of crap box. It was horrible and a total rip off. When I called to let them know my feelings they could care less. I paid 87 of that 120 for a box. It looks like it cost them 50 cents. They put a sticker with my dogs name on it. Other places give you a nice wood box for the same price. I will NEVER go back.

Great Clinic

I've taken my cats there three times now, and have made them the permenent vet for one of them. They are always very kind and understanding. One time, one of my cats was on the brink of death and they were able to save him and return him to a normal life. I agree that the prices are a little high, but not much higher than other clinics. The fact that they are always available, communicative, and compassionate has made them a choice in my book.
