Established in 1954, KCTS is a Public Broadcasting Service-affiliated television station that serves the Seattle Metropolitan area. The station telecasts a variety of news shows that informs viewers on various issues and matters, such as political affairs, weather conditions, sports, business, traffic updates, movies, music, television, books and food. Its programs include Charlie Rose, Curious George, Passport to Adventure, A Place of Our Own and Sesame Street. It broadcasts on analog channel 9 and digital on channel 41. KCTS is located in Seattle and earlier was a part of the University of Washington.
