        Los Angeles has so many martial arts schools. When I first moved here it felt like they were convenience stores with one on every corner. In the martial arts world there is even a name for these generic commercial schools: McDojo. Lucky for you the Bujinkan is the opposite of that. It is not a sport. There are no rules. No tournaments. It isn’t any kind of watered down combat system. What we do is scary. And fun. Even life changing. I don’t teach to get rich (just ask my wife). I teach for the heart and spirit of Ninjutsu that is shared with me by my teachers in Japan. So, are you looking for real Bujinkan in Los Angeles?         Bujinkan is a dynamic martial art that is referred to as a moving meditation. The lessons learned offer the practitioner an enrichment in life, well beyond time spent in class. These historic teachings are passed down through a life of dedication, Michael Glenn. Michael has gifted this knowledge for the past 16 years in Santa Monica as a part of his life long journey and master of the art. If you want more of an understanding of yourself through mind, body, and spirit; then I will look forward to meeting you in class.

        Bujinkan Santa Monica is a great place to learn classical Japanese martial arts. Michael Glenn is a fantastic sensei and Dai Shihan traveling regularly to Japan each year, as well as teaching multi-day seminars both domestically and internationally. I have been fortunate enough to be able to train with Michael at Santa Monica Bujinkan for several years now, and was able to go with him to Japan in 2018. If you are interested in a great teacher, committed students, and learning about Budo along with a practical fighting form, I would recommend checking out Bujinkan Santa Monica.

        Bujinkan Santa Monica has an amazing group of people to train with, and Michael Glenn has 31 years experience. He goes back to Japan 3-4 times a year to train with Hatsumi Masaaki, which keeps his training evolving. Bujinkan is the art of the ninja and the samurai. Great for the mind,body and spirit. It’s changed my life.
