Founded in 1977 by Bill Elliott, Bay Ship & Yacht, is one of the leading shipping companies on the West Coast. Headquartered in Alameda, Calif., the company also has a boatyard in Richmond, Calif., and specializes in repairs of cargo vessels, tankers, tugs, barges, ferries and fishing vessels. It has a state-of-the-art shipyard, two dry-docks and industrial fabrication, machine, paint and propeller shops. Bay Ship s clients include the United States Coast Guard, U.S Army and U.S Navy and National Park Services fleet of historic ships from the San Francisco National Maritime Museum.
