Prescott Valley Motel

If I could give 0 stars I would. Very cheap, but still not even worth it. Very small rooms, very uncomfortable beds, no iron, had old food underneath the bed and furniture (which my dog found). Our non-smoking room smelled like cigarette smoke. But the real problem is this: My pregnant wife and I left for a few hours and we left the dog in the room with a bark collar on, in case he decided to go crazy. When we returned to the room our dog was gone!!!! My pregnant wife is very stressed and scared at this point. I was about to call the police, but decided to speak to the owner first. Turns out that they had my dog! They had him outside in the cold, in his crate, which was soaked in urine, and with feces all over. If you own a well-trained dog, you know that they don't just urinate and poop in their crate unless they are very afraid. Turns out that they took my dog since he was supposedly barking and because we had left him unattended (according to the landlord himself, we were supposed to have been told about the no pet unattended rule when we checked in, but they never told me anything). On top of this, he tells me that I can only get my dog back once I get my stuff out of my room!!! So here I am, with a stressed out and scared pregnant wife and a kidnapped dog... in good 'ol USA!!! I would have punched the owner in his face at this point, but he was behind some bars that covered the window. The worst part of all this, THE OWNER HAD MY PHONE NUMBER AND NEVER TRIED CALLING ME ONCE!!!!!!



I got my stuff out of the room, I got my dog back (had to throw his bed away because of the urine and feces), and we went to the hotel right across the street where it was much nicer, with much friendlier owners, and much more comfortable. Once we were at the new place, I tested my dog to see if he would bark. We left him alone and what do you know...no barking!!!! We stayed at the new place for two days and not a single problem.



Conclusion: Ended up with a scared and stressed pregnant wife, a scared and stressed kidnapped dog, and our rights were clearly violated!!!!...Oh, and we had paid for three nights, only stayed 1 night, but they kept all of our money.
