Love this place for its authentic Mexican-American standards, homemade tamales, and taco Tuesdays. Simple family oriented atmosphere, friendly staff, generous portions, and reasonable prices. Try it, you'll be hooked.

Provided by Superpagesate at carmelita's with a group of coworkers for dinner tonight, WORST TIME EVER. we all had never eaten there before so we gave it a shot, I myself got the chicken enchilada.. Tasted like dried up tuna, they top it with HOT sour cream and barley any cheese. It was horrible. We all waited 30 minutes for drink refills, when charged $2.00 for a soda, and never came. Instead, the MANAGER who was our server brought the checks, never bussed our table once, never came back with our refills, and decided to buss three other tables while we waited on our change as well, when we were the only table left in there. The other server was busy on her phone. Then the manager shorted all of us $3.00 from our change, we asked for it, and she threw it at us and yelled. NEVER GOING BACK. WORST PLACE EVER. Food was bad, service was horrible and I'm so upset. WAY OVERPRICED AS WELL!!! Save yourselves.

Provided by SuperpagesGreat food and atmosphere! However, I must minus one star because they now charge for the chips and salsa. Also, there is little consistancy in their margaritas (can be too tart, sour) and sometimes even their pricing!

Provided by SuperpagesExcellent food and reasonably priced. The service is always very good as well and they know how to treat families. The only drawback is that they started charging extra for chips & salsa. Used to be they would just set it down in front of you when you arrived, but now you have to ask. The chips are so good and the salsa so flavorful that I always do, but it is kind of annoying. The atmosphere is very pleasant as well. Parking can sometimes be a problem. The sour cream chicken enchiladas are the best in town.
