        Dr. Afar is a UCLA trained dentist who was among the top 5% of graduating dental students in the nation, earning him the Dentist-Scientist Fellowship from the National Institutes of Health to continue his education and research in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry at the University of Washington. He is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), and Western Dental Society. He is also a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and Associate Fellow of the American Society of Osseointegration. Highly skilled in all aspects of implant dentistry, and a former UCLA School of Dentistry Clinical Faculty and Research Associate, Dr. Afar is an internationally recognized expert and lecturer in the field of implantology.

        Overall

        I used to have these dark spots on my teeth. No one could figure out how I got them and nothing seemed to work on them. Then I had a consultation with Dr. Poneh and she suggested to use veneers to cover them. And it worked. The result is amazing.

        I have been coming to this dental office for years now. Dr. Afar is great. He is so professional and he makes sure you are comfortable there. One of the biggest advantages of this dental office is that they have a lot of specialists and you don't need referrals to other places if you need a specific dental treatment.

        I had a great experience at NoHo Dental. I chose this dental office after I changed insurance plans. The staff here is very nice. Dr. Afar is great. He did a root canal for me, which was painless and I had very little discomfort afterwards.
