For situations like these, dental sealants offer a means of protecting molar and premolar chewing surfaces from decay. Recognized by the American Dental Association as a key means of cavity prevention, dental sealants are simply a thin plastic film that can be applied to teeth.

Take-home trays allow you to maintain the bright white smile you desire at your convenience. Most patients will experience great results with the teeth whitening method, though not all discolorations can be lightened with the treatment. Whitening treatments are most successful in removing yellow, brown, or orange tinges incurred from aging, coffee, tea, or smoking. However, dark gray tones from fluorosis, smoking, or tetracycline use may not whiten as dramatically; artificial materials such as silicants or porcelains do not whiten at all. Patients with sensitive teeth, periodontal disease, or worn enamel typically do not respond well to whitening. A bridge is a device used to fill the space where a tooth has fallen out or been removed. A typical bridge consists of a pontic (a filler tooth) that is attached to two surrounding abutments (crowns). Once complete, this bridge structure is bonded into the mouth.
