From the look it seems to be a normal restaurant but it's a tourists trap it seems. Im from NY and I'm ashamed of this place. The drinks are over prices but what killed the night was the penne a la vodka. Not only was the "full" a waste of money. It had 15 pcs of pasta and too much grilled chicken. The vodka sauce tasted jarred and they claim it's home made. The ceasar salad was dry. This was the worst $45 ever spent. I feel bad for out of town people that don't know real food. Go look up harrys in lower manhattan if you want good Italian food and bar. Save your time

Provided by Superpagesi.e., I work for Google and when I leave work there are absolutely no 'regular bars' to go to in the area unless I want to spend $15 for a cocktail, which I do not. I want draft beer, tv's, comfy couches, and laid-back people! The only place in the meatpacking to find this type of atmosphere is the Gaslight. Later in the evening, weekends, and G2 next door is a much more happening scene, in fact, usually packed full of good-looking people going to or coming from the decadent clubs nearby. Its comfortable, real, affordable, and the mix of people keeps it entertaining every time. That's probably why they've been in business for almost 15 years. Here's a tip-Im headed there for Superbowl too: the deal is $60 for an Open Bar throughout the game + buffet!! Tell me you can beat that anywhere in this type of setting..A local favorite, or highly recommended because

Provided by SuperpagesGaslight is my favorite bar..and this is why. Among the litany of trendy shops, clubs, and people, the Gaslight Lounge stands out as the one comfortable and relatively inexpensive bar in the entire neighborhood. When I walked in the other day, there was a movie being filmed outside and taking up part of the second lounge area known as G2. Since the main entrance was blocked, I walked into the pizzeria next door, which I found out is also part of the group, called Gaslight Pizzeria. After enjoying a surprisingly awesome buffalo chicken slice, I found my way into the main bar area. The hot female bartenders are always happy to serve you pints of tap beer at this old-world Victorian lounge. The dcor is vintage and warm, if a little tattered, and that only adds to the charm. With lots of cushy seating areas everywhere, I was glad I got there early to reserve a nook with two couches for my group by the fireplace. Though we had plans to go to salsa dancing we ended up staying all night!
