The staff at Center Stage possesses the combined knowledge of professional dance instruction, injury prevention and treatment and teaching certification. Their credits and experience extend across the country including New York City. Our teachers maintain a very professional classroom where students learn the necessary skills to obtain a career in the performing arts. Education is not limited to our classrooms as we regularly take students to amateur and professional performances. Furthermore, our students are also well prepared and encouraged to audition for local amateur and professional performances. Services/Products

Classes in Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Acrobatics, Voice and Acting. Ages 3 through Adult, beginners through professionals. Contact us for a FREE trial/placement class. All students are welcome (not required) to perform in the year end production. Our Mission at Center Stage is to inspire young people to be the best dancers they can be. We believe a teacher's influence on the future of a student extends far beyond the obvious physical benefits. The faculty at Center Stage is committed to motivate and challenge every student, whether at the recreational or intensive level. We find it extremely important to place our students in the appropriate classes so that they can get the maximum benefit from their class. Our teaching philosophy is based on instilling a passion for dance and the performing arts, while nurturing creativity. We believe that an education in dance benefits the body, mind and soul. In addition, we strive to develop confidence, self-esteem and self-discipline. We encourage teamwork and teach life skills that will help them succeed in other aspects of their lives. Students are learning what hard work and determination can accomplish. We pledge to give you the finest dance instruction available and are committed to making each dance lesson a positive one. Conveniently located off of Dixie Freeway in New Smyrna Beach. Easy to get to and only 15 minutes from Edgewater, Port Orange and South Daytona.

Amenities

Our studio maintains a state inspected professional dance environment including professional dance floors limiting the injuries that many dancers obtain from dancing on improper floors and in non-conducive environments. We have 2 large classrooms with over 1600 sq feet of practice space, a large dressing room, comfortable waiting area and ample parking. Center Stage works hard to keep costs at the lowest while still offering offers the highest quality, best technique and professional education in dance and the dramatic arts. Our dress code and "swap" program allow for students to save money on the cost of dance apparel and footwear.

Associations

Center Stage is a proud business partner of Volusia County Schools, demonstrating that commitment by giving half price tickets to all Volusia County students so they could attend our year end performance. In addition, our Faculty and students support our community by participating in the New Smyrna Beach parade, Edgewater parade and donating gifts to children in need at Christmas time. We believe that all talented students in our community should have the opportunity to gain a quality dance and performing art education; so Center Stage offers scholarships designed for students who are interested or actively involved in the fine arts. Recipients will take class every week at Center Stage Dance and Performing Arts at no charge. Anyone interested is encouraged to apply, please contact us for an application.
