Emergency Dentist 247 is headed by Dr. Parris, past chairman of the Department of Endodontics at Temple University's School of Dentistry in Philadelphia. Parris was an active member of the school's faculty for more than 20 years and is credited with having taught Endodontics (root canal treatment) to more of that city's dentists than any other professor in this specialty. Many of his graduates are now teaching at other dental schools. During his many years in practice, Dr. Parris developed sophisticated pain control techniques. These procedures are effective and successful in helping the patient receive necessary dental attention with a minimum of discomfort and inconvenience. He has helped make root canal treatment an important part of every dentist's general practice. Caral Firestone and Leonard Parris, DMD recognized a need for emergency dental treatment that simply wasn't being met.

        Sympathy and help over the phone, from a total stranger

        I wish I lived in PA, to access these great people's services. Last night I was in the most unbelievable pain I can recall in 39 years of life, and this is from someone (me) who has suffered from dental issues all her life, even if my denture has been taken care of very carefully all this time, paying heavy bills for many years.

        What Happened? I Live in Minneaplis and I called this 866 number not knowing it was in a different state - The lady who answered, Caral, I believe, IMMEDIATELY provided me with a small trick to ease the worst part of the pain - apply ice directly on the area - and offered me patient words of kindness and sympathy that I could not even get from members of my family - all busy telling me how I was "overreacting". Caral stayed with me over the phone for quite a while ( 2 AM) and showed me real compassion. I do have a daytime dentist, in the area where I live and I will see such dentist, however I find remarkable that a total stranger could be so compassionate. If they coveer your area, use these people's services, I am sure they will go out of their ways to assist.

        PAIN AWAY!!! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!

        Holiday Weekend Almost Ruined!! I was away with my family for a wedding and to vacation for a full 10 days off. The first evening of our holiday, I was unfortuantely getting terrible pain and knew the tooth that I so wanted to forget about was back with a vengence! I called Emergency Dentist 24/7, and actually spoke with a Dentist, no answering service, but a helpful and understanding dentist. He told me "Come right over and I will take care of it".



        Needless to say, I was a bit worried since this was not my usual dentist, but I have to say that within minutes from walking into his office (where he actually listened to me!) I was out of PAIN! This Practice is amazing. I want everyone to know what an incredible service I received, which truly saved my holiday! Thank you so very much for your quick service, patience, and kindness! You are the best!
