BLVD Hotel & Suites

Our hotel room was fairly clean and comfortable. Even with renovations taking place, we had minimal disturbance.



On the negative side - while the hotel offered a continental breakfast - typical breakfast consisting of toast, bagels, cold cereal, fruit, muffins and such, there were signs all over the breakfast room telling guest that food was NOT to be taken out of the breakfast room. This might not have been so bad - given the fact that there were lots of tables, but a severe shortage of chairs. And the chairs that were there were absolutely filthy! One morning, a guest made a toaster waffle - however, there was no syrup out. When she asked for syrup, she was told to just use jelly - a major no-no in the customer service world.



This hotel did not offer wireless internet in the guest rooms - unfortunately, I failed to ask this question when booking the room. I assumed that it was a given, particularly in this day and age of wireless. Wireless is only available at the registration desk area - a major inconvenience.



One day after our room was cleaned, fresh towels were not put in - no big deal - so I called the front desk, and asked for towels. I was told that I would have to go down and get them - she would not bring them up to our room - another serious customer service no-no.



I would also advise anyone using this hotel to be very, very careful after dark. The elevator to guest rooms is located in a small outside passage way that is not very well lit, and the hotel does not offer any type of security personnel, and we did not feel safe after dark.
