Parkway Village Co

I was so excited to find a place to live at Parkway Village. It is a nice neighborhood. But just like most things in life, its what's on the inside that counts. And what is on the inside of Parkway village is ugly and dirty. Where should I begin??.. Board members are corrupt. Management is full of liars. Apartments and the complex is not well maintained because maintenance is allowed to not do their job). Security look the other way (probably because they aren't being paid on time). I could go on and on and on and on. What's worse is that the property manager Jeannette Hernandez runs the complex like Fidel Castro use to run Cuba. She is corrupt!! She lies and plays games, cuts corners and doesn't meet building codes to save money which she then pockets to go on fancy trips and to buy expensive things. Everyone is afraid of her. How is she allowed to still run this building? On the boards membership is member Doug Sherman, he is named on the affidavit, who is behind on rent. How is he still sitting on the board especially when the head (Jeanette) complained about him not paying his rent? . This man is behingd on rent . This is the absolutely worse place I have ever lived in. All you need to know about this place and Jeanette is the affidavit that i am providing here. How could Jeanette and her staff still be in place when there is things like this out there?

I am the potential buyer for this COOP. Visited place a lot of times and love it. Looking to buy 3 bedroom apartment with back yard. Would be happy to join community.

This is further proof that Ms. Jeanette Hernandez, lacks the management skills that Parkway Village has been missing since being appointed board member and then site manager. As long as Douglas Sherman and his puppet board croonies are in charge, we'll soon be living in a tenement atmosphere. Why's the mortgage holder NOT investigating the continued corruption? Will they ever wake up and do a forensic audit on the financials, or are they in collusion with the board and are just waiting to cash in when the co-op goes bankrupt?

this place is poorly run. we have snow coming and most of the grounds are covered in leaves. it's really dangerous to have snow on top of leaf covered grounds, especially on some of the really steep stair cases with only one railing. what is wrong with these people? the management office and board members are so corrupt and selfish! and if you complain, they target and harass you. on goethals ave, there are many cracked sidewalks that need fixing. they have let them deteriorate over the course of several years. these sidewalks are extra dangerous when covered in wet leaves and ice. you can throw all the salt you want. this problem needs to be addressed! also, additional railing on steep staircases need to be installed!

Parkway's on the upswing and is a unique, pet friendly Village in NYC. A 20 million dollar capital improvements project is underway that did not require an assessment/fee for owners. Improvement plans include --> new roofs & windows on all buildings, new sidewalks, streets, electrical, landscape, porticos, entranceway, security system, & street lights just to name a few. There has been signifiant project activity in the last several months. A new heating system was recently installed throughout the Village that is superior to most co-ops - tenants can control room temperature, which is almost unheard of in NYC. The board is fiscally responsible and the financials are solid. If you are considering a unit purchase, your attorney will review the financial statements and confirm. Parkway has dealt with significant challenges in the past due to a few 'bad apples' that made poor decisions. Those days are history; lessons were learned. Parkway has a bright future. The energy is positive and productive, neighbors are friendly, and the trees throughout the Village are magnificent. Parkway will be the 'shinning star' of Kew Gardens Hills when the capital improvements are complete. Great place to live and invest!

run for your life! this place is a dump! the workers are rude, the maintenance is sky high for queens, and they never fix anything. yes what's inside your apt walls are your responsibility, but if your sink or toilet s clogged they could at least fix it for you. but no... they ill charged you an arm and leg to do so. let me give you an example. my maintenance is almost $1200, plus they just instituted a $79 assessment. and yet the quality of service is below substandard! take a walk around the village you will see what a dump it is. and the board is so sneaky. they are always behind on putting out the yearly budget by almost a year. they hardly have meetings to discuss resident concerns. the brick needs to be pointed, sidewalks all cracked, leaky roofs, water bugs/ mice over running peoples homes. come on, really?!!!!! not to mention the board doesn't pay what the rest of the residents pay in maintenance fees. they receive kick backs as well as free cost of repairs in their apts. the board members also get free renovations done by the maintenance crew, while everyone else has to submit an application for alteration and pay a licensed contractor, they get free hassle free work done. and so do the people who are friends of the board members and people who work in the management office. another example for foul play..... they hired one of the board member's to act as office manager. wow!
