Back to topRoad, Aerial, Hybrid and Bird's Eye

You can see four types of maps on YELLOWPAGES.COM:
  1. 1Road: This street map shows roads, highways and landmarks, and more. This is the default map style on YELLOWPAGES.COM.
  2. 2Aerial: This view combines satellite images with photographs taken from airplanes.
  3. 3Hybrid: This view combines the Road and Aerial maps. Roads, highways and landmarks are displayed over of the aerial imagery.
  4. 4Bird's Eye: Bird's Eye Maps are high-resolution, low-angle photographs taken from small aircraft. Bird's eye images are not available for all areas of the United States at this time. To determine whether a bird's eye image is available for the area you are viewing, zoom in to the area while viewing a road, aerial or hybrid map. When you reach the appropriate zoom level, if a bird's eye image is available, the "Bird's Eye" button will appear in the Map Controller.

Bird's Eye maps are similar to three-dimensional photos because they are taken at an angle. Bird's Eye maps are available for many metropolitan areas.

  • Pan Compass: Clicking on a Bird's Eye Compass direction indicator will display a new Bird's Eye image, showing you the mapped location from a different direction.
  • Change Camera Angles: You can rotate the camera angle by clicking on the curved arrows. Click on  Rotate Arrow  to change the camera angle clockwise and click on  Rotate Arrow  to change the camera angle counterclockwise.
  • Inset Map Selector: Drag the outline of the Bird's Eye View highlighted in blue to move the map.

Back to topUsing Traffic

Current traffic conditions are available for Road, Aerial and Hybrid maps for many metropolitan areas. When traffic conditions are available for the area you are viewing, traffic speed will be indicated by color code. Traffic conditions are updated when you move the map and are automatically updated every few minutes.
