Don't miss a ride on the Heber Valley Creeper if you're in the Park City area. Beautiful scenery along the way. Round trip is about 3 hours and you can combine it with a picnic lunch and a rafting trip.

Not great, not bad...

This is a historic site and gives kids a chance to ride a real train. Other than that, there isn't much positive about it and I don't see my family returning unless in the future I have a child who LOVES trains. We went on the Soldier Hollow Express ride. It was pretty slow, made frequent stops, and the ride consisted of going strait for 45 minutes, then the train went in reverse to go back to the station. Most the seats face each other, and there is about 6-8 inches of "leg room" in between. It was uncomfortably warm and you're not allowed to take any outside food or drink on board. The staff did a "hold-up" scene at one of the stops. The 3-4 year old girl next to us was terrified. She cried and said more than once, "stop the train, I want to get off." Surprisingly enough, my 4 and 6 year old said they had fun, it was just a little too long. Overall, not a terrible place, but not worth the money or the long drive to Heber.
