Provided by SuperpagesOn 6/4/08 I purchased a porcelain and silver like metal box from the The Gift Horse. Before the purchase I asked the store clerk about the age of the box and if she knew about the metal. She did not know about the metal but thought that the box was from the 1930's. I paid $108.00 for the box. Since the box was in an antique store, I felt safe that it was old too. That same night I researched the box on the web. I found an identical box except for the painting on the porcelain being offered as a decorative art object/new from Bejing China. Its price was $40 which included shipping. I went back to the Gift Horse and asked for a refund and was refused. Next, I asked 3 times to exchange it for something of equal value. Again I was refused. The store policy was that all sales were final. A different sales clerk told the manager by phone while I was standing there that she felt that I "got gypped." I agree. Next time I will steer clear of The Gift Horse; It bites. Pam from AR
