        WPRI is the FOX local television affiliate that provides news, programming, entertainment and information to residents of the greater Providence, R.I., area. Established in 1955 as WPRO, a local CBS affiliate, it also has a sister station-WNAC. WLFI broadcasts on channels 12 and 13 and is owned and operated by LIN Television, which owns 29 television stations in the Midwest and Eastern United States.
