QDOBA Mexican Eats

I am of hispanic background and I can't begin to express how disappointed I was with this establishment. I am not saying I came in expecting the greatest authentic mexican food in Des Moines. I knew what I was getting into and I am not posting for the sake of trash talk If anything, I hope somebody from Qdoba will recognize my opinion and consider my simple advice. First things first. The tortillas. I don't know if the wrong person was making my tacos that day or what, but eating a cold, pre-packaged tortilla is nott the most desirable or appetizing thing in the world. My honest recommendation would be to prepare your own in-house tortillas like your top competitor, an Iowa-based company (might I add) which is another significant why reason you need to step your game up. If you really want to stick with your packaged tortillas, fine but at least HEAT them up. You have a whole grill right behind you. Designate an area where no meat is prepared to avoid cross-contamination and toss the tortilla on there for a few seconds on each side. It really only takes 5-10 seconds max. And if you're going to stick with those tortillas, don't make it so obvious. When I was there, the bag of packaged tortillas was out in plain sight and made me start to wonder if I was going to get my moneys worth or not. Keep them out of sight or atleast find some decorative container to keep them in. To conclude my rant I would also like to say the meat was cold, which didn't go very well with my cold, cold tortilla.
