DUI/DWI

If you see a computer left unattended, and you take the computer - that is theft. Many people have questions about the difference between misdemeanor vs. felony charges, the most significant being the difference in possible penalties and the consequences on your permanent criminal history record. Fraud occurs when an individual or organization intentionally makes an untrue representation about an important fact or event, the untrue representation is believed by the victim, the victim relies upon and acts upon the untrue representation, and the victim suffers loss of money or property as a result of relying and acting upon the untrue representation. Bribery, corruption, and forgery are also classified as white collar crimes.
Kidnapping
Kidnapping. With intent to force a concession or payment of a ransom, (1) forcibly seizing and carrying a person away, (2) enticing a person to go somewhere, or (3) imprisoning a person; or, knowingly seizing and carrying a person away without lawful justification. Class 1, class 2, class 3, or class 4 felony, depending upon circumstances.

With intent to induce a person against his or her will to do or not do something lawful, (1) threatening to confine, restrain, cause economic hardship, cause bodily injury, damage property, or damage the reputation of the person or someone else and (2) the threatened action is unlawful; or, with intent to induce a person against his or her will to give money, threatening to report the person or someone elseâ€™s immigration status to authorities. Class 3 or 4 felony, depending upon circumstances.
Hit and Run
Depending on the circumstances of the accident and the types of coverage available, accident victims may need to use their own insurance coverage to pay for damages or injuries. For example, if the other driver does not have insurance, their insurance coverage is not enough to cover your damages, or you were involved in a hit-and-run, you may need to use your own uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage.

Premises Liability
