The percentage of overweight children in the United States continues to grow. Obesity is also linked to high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, asthma, and emotional problems. According to the American Obesity Association, excess weight in childhood and adolescence has been found to predict obesity in adults. Overweight children, aged 10 to 14, with at least one overweight or obese parent, were reported to have a 79% likelihood of being obese as an adult. Preventing kids from becoming overweight means adapting the way families eat, exercise and interact together.

Kids & Teens Primary Healthcare was founded in 2006 by Dr. Byron Cotton who has held clinical positions with Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Dr. Cotton is well respected among his colleagues as he has been recognized as one of "Atlanta's Top Doctors" in Atlanta Magazine yearly from 2009 thru 2021. At Kids & Teens Primary Healthcare, we provided comprehensive medical care to patients from birth through 21 years of age. We are committed to providing quality medical care to our patients in a compassionate manner. We offer convenient office hours including some evenings and Saturdays.
