Primary Care
If one of our providers determines that your child requires a referral to a specialist for further evaluation, our dedicated Care Coordinators will assist you with making the specialist appointment, ensuring the specialist recieves all pertinent information regarding your child's medical history prior to their appointment and will ensure that we recieve the specialist note and communicate any outcomes or new findings to your child's primary care provider. Ear Infections
Colds, upper respiratory infections, and URIs are common terms we use to describe viral illnesses that cause nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, sore throat, fever, and cough. The fever usually lasts for 2-3 days, and the cough with congestion and runny nose may last for 5-10 days. The typical preschool-age child may experience 6-10 colds per year. Most colds resolve on their own with rest and fluids, but some may lead to ear infection, sinus infection, asthma attack, or other complications. If you are concerned about the possibility of one of these complications, please have your child seen in our office for an evaluation.
Emergency Care
It is our preference that your child see your "regular" practitioner that is most familiar with your child. We realize that this may not always be possible due to schedule limitations or if a practitioner's schedule availability does not match your schedule. We strive to always be available to you. If your regular practitioner is not available, we prefer that your child be seen at our office by another provider rather than going to urgent care while our office is open. All practitioners at our office have access to your child's medical record and are able to communicate with your regular practitioner if consultation is needed.

Payment at Time of Service Payment in cash, check or major credit card is expected at the time of service, and all co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles will be collected. Please be advised that there may be services that your insurance company will not cover (new immunizations, flu shots, hearing and vision screening, etc). MCHAT or Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers is a standardized tool to screen for autism usually performed at the 18 and 24 month health checks. Both MCHAT and ASQ are usually filled by the parents or guardians during the visit (can also be answered on downloaded forms or through the Patient Portal). The tests are then scored by the staff, tallied and added into flowsheets in the patient’s electronic chart.

For Children With Special Needs Or Mental Health Concerns It is very important that we recieve all medical records prior to the first visit, if possible. This allows us the opportunity to update our medical record with important health history facts regarding your child's health and prior treatments. Although we will not require this for emergent, non-routine visits, it is important that a parent or legal gaurdian be present to act as the medical historian. Please know that while we are here to help, we may not be able to prescribe certain medications without your child's prior medical records.
Behavioral Health
If you have concerns about your child's behavioral development, please call our office and ask to speak to our Behavioral Health Coordinator. We will discuss your concerns and gather information that will be used to determine how we can best help your child. If a Behavioral Evaluation with one of our providers is needed, we will schedule this visit for you and provide you with assessment tools that you can complete prior to the your visit.
