First time in this joint, I got sick! Had the runs and was vomiting for 3 straight days. Does not sounds so nice, but it is the truth and there is no way to hide the facts. I went there with some buddies from school and ordered what they did a burrito. When I got it, yes it was somewhat big, but it was really greasy and tasteless. I ate it because I was hungry and thought nothing of it. Later that night I got very ill and pretty much remained in bed for the following 3 days.
Second time I was there, I thought ok maybe I had a bug or some kind of virus before, lets give it another shot. Big mistake, huge! I ordered the enchiladas this time and again they were super greasy. Think of the greasiest thing possible and multiply by four, that is what my enchiladas were like! Nasty is the word. To top it all off and as an added bonus, I found a hair in my greasy melted cheese! When I asked the waitres to get me the manager, she snapped at me and replied "why? what is problem?" For all she knew I wanted to give the manager a compliment on how well he ran the establishment (hardly!), but she just snapped and walked away when I told her to please get him for me. The manager a short portly looking man with glasses came by with what seemed like an attitude. I don't know if the waitress worked him up a bit bofore he came over, but it seemed like he was in a pissy mood before I even opened my mouth. I proceeded to explain my first visit, how unhappy I had been, how I decided to give them another chance and about my food this time when he cut me off and said "what is it that you want? You want a new echiladas, I change it for you!" He took the plate and walked away. Well that was just about the rudest service I have ever recieved anywhere. Even at fast food joints you get better service than at the famous Garcia's. Famous for what? The owner's should do some in-house staff cleaning and switch out those who just don't work out for them. In my opinion if you can't have it all and if your food is gross, tasteless and unedible at least your service should be impecable. Sadly (for them) I will not be returning again. In this case third time is not a charm! Take your money and go to another Mexican restaurant. In this city, there are mexican restaurants on every other corner.
FYI: I got sick the second time too!
