Bass Pro Shops/Cabela’s Boating Center

The entire experience was fantastic! The staff are courteous and prompt and always have a genuine smile. Our food was perfect. Hot and delicious, just what we were in the mood for! I would highly recommend the blackened walleye (slightly spicy, very juicy and perfectly cooked) and the red-skinned mashed potatoes (creamy and handmade). Also, the clam chowder as a starter (so much better than Cambell's, lots of meat, not too chewy. Absolutely scrumptious). We also had the popcorn shrimp (I am a very picky shrimp eater and the texture was perfection, I have never eaten better shrimp in my entire life). Wonderful atmosphere! They have a giant saltwater aquarium that you can see from the bar as well as the dining room. We came for dinner on Sweetest's Day. We were lucky to get a table somewhat near the fireplace. Very romantic. I liked that I wasn't sitting back to back with someone else, so not too crowded. Our waiter and the manager, Kathy, stopped by our table frequently to make sure we were happy. I would eat here everyday if I could afford it! We've been here twice.

This place is terrible. The Conch fritters where under cooked, the alligator was spongy and the coconut shrimp where so over cooked that they where like rubber and this is just the appetizers. My wife's Grouper portifino was brutally over cooked that it was unrecognizable. My Mahi Mahi was as old as there decorations. Matter of fact the only fresh fish in the place is in the big fish tank that separates the bar from the restaurant. The service SUCKED! The best part of the meal was leaving. I recommend anywhere but this place.
