Dental Care

Parasites Treatment and Control
What can I do to protect my pet? Heartworm disease is preventable! Dogs should be tested annually and before starting prevention. Provide heartworm prevention 12 months of the year. Prevention is the safest and most cost-effective option, but treatment is available for dogs (although costly and lengthy). Cats should be tested before starting prevention and re-tested as the veterinarian deems appropriate. There is NO treatment in cats, so prevention is critical and the only means of protection.

With your pet’s comfort and safety at the forefront, we utilize pain management protocols before, during, and after surgery until they are completely recovered. This includes monitoring of vital signs, assessing your pet for pain indicators and keeping them well fed, warm and comfortable in their surroundings.
Skin Condition and Allergy Treatment
Itching, scratching, and hot spots are all signs of allergies and skin conditions in pets. Just like humans, pets can be sensitive to irritants that cause them distress. Hip Dysplasia Treatment
Hip dysplasia is a common condition that affects dogs and can cause debilitating and painful conditions for your pet. OFA Hip & Elbow evaluation/certification helps pet owners and breeders to evaluate the hip joint before breeding. We strongly recommend OFA Hip & Elbow certification before breeding a female, before the purchase of a puppy, and/or to evaluate your pet's hip condition.

We routinely perform orthopedic surgeries, which are procedures related to bones and joints. Common orthopedic pet surgeries include bone fracture repair, cruciate ligament repair, extracapsular techniques, leg or toe amputation, patellar luxation repair, and surgeries to treat hip dysplasia, including femoral head ostectomy (FHO).

An EKG is a painless test used to diagnose cardiac abnormalities, such as an enlarged heart, heart murmur, congestive heart failure, or irregular heart rhythm. EKGs can also help determine if your pet’s heart is strong enough to undergo anesthesia and is often used as a pre-surgical test.
