        For that run-down hole in the wall authentic experience in an old school Mexican restaurant, this is the place.

        Food is amazingly good: pretty much everything else (service, vibe, atmosphere etc.) is not.
        Today I had the Nachos Al Carbon, beef.

        Oh, and stay away from the tea: either the funk is in the water this time of year or it is made from powder, hard to tell.

        This place has the best fajitas in town and the salsa is awesome (have to remind myself not to just pick it up and drink it). Attentive service and several outstanding servers. It is my first pick in Tex-Mex food. Over 9 years going to Los Lupes (this one and Trinity Mills) have had very few problems and each was resolved by a gracious manager. Vamanos!
