The plumbers were quick to respond. I called in the morning and we had someone to the house that afternoon. Very friendly. Only 3 stars because it was expensive.

plumbing services were required during the remodeling of a bathroom in my residence. Instead of going with a local plumber I decided to call Rotorooter because I was always pleased with their services while living on the east coast.
I was extremely pleased with the service I received. I would highly recommend them to my neighbors and friends.

Excellent service. Called early on a Saturday and Chuck was at our front door in less than 30 minutes. Problem fixed, diagnosed correctly and at a reasonable cost. they'll be coming back to do some more work for us. I won't call anybody else again for plumbing problems.

Roto Rooter came out in October and cleared the drain and made recommendations for the future. I called them again in March when the drain clogged and I decided to follow through with their recommendations. They arrived on time and the job took the estimated time to complete. They cleaned up after themselves (they had to demolish a cement sink). Chuck and Jeff did a great job replacing the sink and faucet.

We had a plug deep in our drain two months ago, (march 25, 2011) and I had attempted to snake it myself to no avail. So after seeing Rotorooters high rating on here we decided to give them a shot on the Friday it occurred.
They were able to come out after I got off of work and take a shot at the plug. After two attempts without roots and finding that the plug was around 100 feet down the pipes, near the street outlet, they would have to come back later to use the jetter. The jetter and office were now closed after the two attempts so they said they could not come back till Monday, but that they would reseal the pipes so they could minimally be used. We said fine and they left while I went to go number1 to test it out. It flushed and then I heard water dripping in our crawl space where they had been working, so went to investigate while my girlfriend went pee. I got down there in time to see a geyser of water shooting from the clean out that was used to access the pipes and towards my furnace.
I made the mistake of not calling right away, whether the office was open or not. Well as you might guess, not only were we not using our water in the house the rest of the weekend, but our now soaked furnace would not turn on. And it was 29 that night outside. I had to go out to the hardware store early the next morning to buy a couple heater/fans to attempt to dry the area. By Sunday at 4pm we had heat again, after another sub 30 degree night.
Monday rolls around and they got here after work. I had phoned ahead from work as to what happened during our weekend of dehydration and cold, because you don't drink much when you have to drive somewhere to pee. I asked them to try and use some precaution this time as I didn't enjoy the lack of heat. They came out did the job and seemed sort of sorry about our weekend. Before leaving he had us test the furnace, as this time I turned it off while they worked, to be safe. It didn't start. Great. We investigated to find that yet more water had splashed our furnace, so I set my heaters to it and had them leave.
I was through dealing with them and the girlfriend called customer service to complain. First she complained about the having to wait all weekend. They responded there was no reason we had to wait more than till Saturday, they had normal weekend hours as well. Hmm. Then she complained about all the water that leaked into our crawl space and on to the furnace. They were supposed to seal the cap with a greasy goop to prevent this. Great. When further questioning in a later call, after customer service had apparently talked to the employees, he said that the reason we had to wait til Monday was because the crew that started our job worked Mon-Friday and wanted to get the commission for using the jetter, which would be a good paycheck for them. And so either didn't tell the office to send anyone till Monday or made it sound like we really wanted them, specifically to do the job.
Are you nuts? We wanted the problem fixed! Not for things to be WORSE! After going back and forth the owner agreed to paying for Banner to inspect our furnace (how noble) and give us $100 off our bill. "in the name of customer service" is exactly what he said. This bill was $1000 for the 2 days of work. We didn't think that sounded very fair for what we went through and asked for more. He said "if you want anything more you will have to take me to small claims court." Ah yes, nothing says customer service like, if you don't like what we did, lawyer up, otherwise we don't care.
Needless to say I will never use, recommend, or spread good impressions about Rotorooter. They have lost me and many potential customers in the future through their terrible work ethic and handling of our business.
Also, I still have to use the fans to dry up the water down there, it's been a month since this happened.
