Dental Examination
Our office and the ADA recommend a routine dental examination and cleaning twice a year. We recommend a child’s first dental visit at age 3. It is never too early or too late to start!

Teeth Cleaning
At each routine checkup/cleaning appointment your hygienist will perform a thorough examination of your teeth, mouth and supporting structures. A routine dental cleaning involves the gentle removal of any plaque buildups that accumulate on the surface of the teeth and any buildups that may be present below the surface of the gum line. A fluoride polish is used to finish. Our hygienists are trained to recognize and treat early forms of gum disease. They are also trained to recognize and treat more advanced forms of gum disease, if necessary. The health of your gums and the supporting bone is very important to maintaining a healthy and beautiful smile.
Fluoride Treatment
Dental Sealants
Sealants are a very thin tooth colored bonding material that is applied to the grooves of healthy teeth. This thin layer of bonding mechanically keeps food from sticking into the grooves of healthy teeth which helps prevent tooth decay. This quick and comfortable procedure is most commonly done on children’s permanent teeth as soon as the molars erupt. Sealants can be placed patients of any age. Sealants usually last years before any reapplication is needed.

Fillings
Advancements in technology have provided many outstanding options to restore a tooth that has been damaged by decay, or fracture. The method of restoration will be usually be dictated by each specific situation. We offer the traditional silver and gold fillings, as well as several different types of white filling materials. The white filling materials are matched to your specific tooth shade and allow us to achieve beautiful cosmetic results. Veneers
Porcelain veneers are designed to look like your natural teeth and are individually and permanently attached to the fronts of your existing teeth. These crowns can also be used to cover discolored, broken, unevenly spaced or cosmetically compromised teeth to create a new and better smile!

Teeth Whitening
There are several methods available for bleaching your teeth. The most common method is the at-home overnight bleaching. For this method, we make an impression of your teeth and create a custom made mouthguard that fits your bite. Each day you fill the mouthguard with a small amount of bleaching gel and wear it overnight, or for a few hours during the day. The overnight bleaching process takes approximately two weeks.
