St. Louis Special Education, located Tyler, Texas, offers curriculum in various areas, including communication, motor skills and independent living for children suffering from mental disorders. The school has more than 80 students enrolled and its students range from 3-to-21 years of age. It is affiliated with the Tyler Independent School District. It provides its services through its support staff that include special education facilitator, diagnostician, parent liaison, occupational and physical therapists, speech and language pathologist, communication specialist, technology manager, nurses, therapeutic horseback riding instructor, physical education and music teacher. In addition, St. Louis Special Education provides a variety of facilities, such as a therapy spa, adapted gymnasium, sensory room, covered arena, sensory walkway and memorial garden, adaptive playground equipment, adaptive technology, covered patios and a greenhouse.
