The Jalapeno Tree Mexican Restaurant

I started working at the jalapeno tree on 04/28/2015, and would do anything they asked and then some. On 08/03/2015 in moved in with my manager and we were under investigation in a matter of days. They ended up moving my manager to the Canton location not too long after that. We had to keep our relationship a secret because both of our jobs were on the line. Once they moved her, the restaurant went down hill. Food left out over night and served the next day. Cross contamination of raw beef and chicken. Maggots on the meat scale. I ended up quiting and getting a job at Applebee's in December. On December 28, 2015 I got kicked out of my girlfriend's house because she said we were under investigation still and we couldn't be seen together because her job was still on the line. I have been homeless/in transition ever since. I lost everything I ever loved because of the no dating policy and she still has her job. I hope she is doing well but hope jalapeno tree gets shut down for health code

This is the worst excuse for a Mexican food restaurant I have ever eaten at. We live nearby. We ordered the taco soup, it was some kind of soup mix they outed over some broke up tortilla chips, it had no meat( usually it's got chicken in it). The soup was Luke warm and had nothing but some freeze dried vegetables maybe a 1/4 cup . It was not fit for a dog to eat. We notified the lady manager she did offer to bring us something else, we told her no and left. She said there was no charge. The waiter followed us outside to see what went on I suppose he thought we were running out on our bill. I told him what the manager said and left. We will never go back there again. I should have known this place was going down as there were maybe a handful of customers there at noon.

My sister and I ordered beef fajitas. When our order finally arrived, the fajitas were so bad that we couldn't eat them. The meat looked and tasted like it had been sitting out for days and the chips were tough and chewy. The manager offered to bring us some more nachos, but we didn't have time to wait another 30 minutes. Even though we didn't eat the food we were given the ticket for the full price. If I had eaten even half of it I wouldn't have minded paying for it, but after the first bite I pushed the plate away and told the waitress that I couldn't eat it.

the food is always great but the service needs improvment... let me first say that the actual waitstaff is wonderful, but the hostesses and who ever answers the phone is very rude. also i had the same problem with asking about the banquet room and even with all of guests 9well over 30 of them) eating there, i also got brushed off.

Very disappointed to read that you advertise a banquet room yet do not want to reserve it because you are so busy. I understand that you are busy and need the space but you are falsely advertising! Very disappointed and you were rude therefore you do not need my little bit of business.
