It may be hard to find, but it's worth it! They serve the biggest and best breakfasts ever!

I was visiting from the northeast and went to this place for breakfast. They serve the biggest pancakes I've ever seen. Good times!

Nice staff. I was not very impressed with walking in and the first thing I saw was note stating "no dogs allowed", which is fine, but then it went into details, was MORE then I needed to know! They have smoke eaters, but that doesn't do anything for the smell. The paneling is very sticky from nicotine, to be a smoker myself, it bothered me. Sorry, the place is very small, and I think some elbow grease on cleaning the paneling would help get the smell out. Otherwise, cute little place, seems like very nice people go in there.

Bland and Rude

High priced bland food and employees can get rude with you. There are plenty of other breakfast type restaurants around Lewisville that do better.

Good quality for the price

Funny about the 'not kid friendly' on the comments above. We went with some friends with their 2 year old and they had the same incident happen to them comment per comment. Good food but don't expect them to be nice to people with small children.

Wow-sized portions

I couldn't believe the size of the biscuits and the pancakes. You could easily split one entree for two people. It did feel very crowded because the tables are so close together.

Kicking myself for taking 12 years to get around to trying them!

I've lived less than 10 miles away from Ham & Eggs for a dozen years, but hadn't gotten around to trying them until a week ago. Wow. Great food, great portions, great value. I'll be back again soon. (For any of you former Los Angeles transplants, breakfasts at Ham & Eggs compare favorably with The Original Pantry at 9th & Figueroa in downtown LA.)Oh...contrary to another review here, they DO accept credit cards (hey, I used mine!), although it's MasterCard & Visa only. Leave your American Express and Discover at home. [UPDATE: Oops, credit cards were just a short-term experiment for them. They stopped taking them after September 27, 2006. Bring cash or your checkbook -- local checks are OK.] They are open for breakfast & lunch only -- no dinner.

GREAT FOOD...NOT CHILD FRIENDLY!!!

I enjoyed the food and the service. However, throughout the course on of our meal, my husband and I received 5 comments concerning my 2 1/2 year old. The first was to move her to an inside seat, the second was please keep her seated the manager does not like children walking around the restaurant, the 3rd was " I need to take her fork so she doesn't poke her eye out and the final two were apologizing for the number of comments, the waitress said when the owner was present they had to let the customers know her rules. I found this establishment not to be family friendly. As much as I enjoyed the food which was wonderful I was worn down by the comments regarding my child. I must note, my daughter not once was out of her seat or in any way making a scene. My husband and I take our children out eat often and this is the only time an establishment has had such a problem. It's a shame, the food, price and service is excellent however if you take your children be prepared.ShaiLittle Elm

A local favorite of mine

The most amazing pancakes and biscuits ever! The novelty is their size but the taste is absolutely amazing, too!

Don't try to sit down unless your entire party has arrived...

Fun pictures all over the walls, pancakes bigger than a large plate and biscits so big that one will feed a party of about four. It is $1 extra to "share" with a friend. Good place, the atmosphere is interesting to say the least.

Breakfast Bigger than Your Mom Used to Make

This place is great! You won't believe the size of the pancakes or the biscuits. Almost like a loaf of bread instead of a single biscuit. Get there early or be prepared to wait awhile, because it is a small place, but it is packed - especially on weekends. Fantastic breakfast at a price for what you get. Bring cash or checks. They don't take credit cards. Great place for Sunday morning breakfast. Just come hungry!
