Provided by SuperpagesI took my teenage son there on his birthday a couple of months ago. This was our first visit to the restaurant. The food was cooked to perfection. They were careful to cook my food away from the rest due to my shrimp allergies. There was so much food that by the time the main course arrived, we were practically full. He was pleasantly surprised with the birthday greeting and token. To get a smile out of my 15-yr-old takes a lot of doing. He wants to go back again for his next birthday.
I will go to the soup kitchen downtown Birmingham before I spend a dime at Sumo
I love this place... Food and service are both excellent. I always sit at the bar & have never had a bad experience. Bartender always has great suggestions on what to order from sushi or grill. Drinks are above average. Eat there at least once a week!! Love love love it!!!
Sumo is just ok...not the best japanese restaurant in town. The rice was rather mushy and it was freezing cold in there.
