Bonnie is down to earth, honest and hard working. She gave excellent advice and representation. She was professional when need be but was also able to be human and personable when needed. She's clearly a seasoned lawyer who takes great pride in a job well done. From beginning to end her and John treated me well, they make a great team. I highly recommend this law office!

The reason Bonnie Shields diversified into personal injury is that the Supreme Court has made changes by which attorneys are no longer subject to the Rules of Professional Conduct and can only be sued using regular law. Expect her to use the entire cannon of law to pursue her own financial goals. The Supreme Court has created a situation whereby anything an attorney says supersedes the law. This makes it impossible to dismiss her from your case when she misrepresents you - because whatever reason she gives the court to keep her on your record will supersede the law and the truth. Don't expect a retainer back. Expect to be exploited - expect long litigation, expect her to represent the other side's interest. Bonnie Shields will deny well documented domestic assaults and say any lie to the court to exploit parties.

In my personal opinion Shields is good with procedures. Outside of that she gets played like a fiddle by the other party. I asked an attorney in the self-help center on how to fire her and how to proceed and she ended up trying to discredit me by lying to the magistrate. I don't think she has what it takes to succeed in representation.
