Linda at KTE saved my wedding dress! It arrived from an out-of-state dress designer with some major measurement flaws, most significant being the zipper in back that gaped about 4 inches. Linda saw immediately what needed to be done to fix the dress. She took out the zipper and replaced it with a panel and corset, which included over 30 loops and several yards of satin lacing that she personally made. She also made adjustments to the lace framing the open back, which meant matching lace we found locally with the original lace from the dress. She took in the dress where needed and added cups at the bust to increase comfort. Linda was friendly, patient, and attentive, and really saved my dress disaster. I received many compliments from guests, who couldn't believe the corset back had been added as a fix. Linda does flawless work and you can trust her with any garment! Thanks again, Linda.

We had KTE Alterations do my daughter's wedding gown. Linda spent over an hour with her to make sure the dress was exactly right. It was past closing but she did not mind staying for us. We picked up her dress this past Saturday and could not be more pleased with the results. The gown is beautiful and fits her perfectly. Her prices are very reasonable for the amount of work that goes in to alterations. I would highly recommend Linda to anyone needing a brides dress or wedding party dress altered. Linda of KTE Alteration & Tailoring was responsible for ABSOLUTELY FLAWLESS WORK. I picked the store from the yellow pages after my initial tailor canceled abruptly. Fingers crossed, I brought in my Mother-of-the Bride dress and the Maid-of-Honor's dress, both needing significant alteration. The fitting was immediate, professional and thorough. Linda knew exactly what was needed before I even finished instruction. The following days brought additional wedding items needing attention, each of which she accepted willingly and graciously. On the agreed upon day, I went in to pick up the items. My dress was an absolutely PERFECT FIT; the Maid-of-Honor's the same. Linda's work lay smoothly, every seam done perfectly. The job she did was completely undetectable from the original David's Bridal dress, down to the loops stitched in for proper hanging. I examined the additional items one by one and found all done to the letter of my instruction, the stitching absolutely perfect on these items.

This is the best tailor by far in Central Illinois! I have been taking my top designer line clothing here for expert alterations for more than one year since I moved to this area. I am extremely impressed by the quality of the workmanship; the timeliness of the work performed; and the amazingly low prices compared to other tailors I've used in the past.
