He began his medical career in 1982 working as an EMT and joined the Army Rangers in 1984 as a combat medic and trained for a special forces combat medic. Through the army, he received his BS from the University of Oklahoma and his Masters in Family Practice from the University of Nebraska. Besides family practice, Doug has vast experience in sports medicine, orthopaedics, and pain management. Doug is a Diplomat of the American Association of Anti-aging Medicine. He joined Phillips Clinic in 2005 and continues to enjoy working here and helping his patients.
